Intensive Coaching – Jill launches her business!
Helping Professional, Business Owner, 37
Speaking from your experience, what is an intensive coaching session?
Stephanie and I met at a time when I was facing one of those forks in the road that life occasionally throws one’s way. After ten years with the same company, it was time for me to make a change. But what should I do? How do I figure out what steps to take? By asking pertinent and direct questions, Stephanie helped me explore my dreams, as well as the realities of my financial, career, and personal goals. Together we faced the road blocks that I perceived were in the way; Stephanie’s insights and inquiries aiding me in either accepting those as viable issues or choosing an angle that allowed them to appear less daunting. With calendars and task list in hand, she then walked me through the process of logistical planning. I walked in to our meeting feeling lost and confused; after two and a half hours, I left Stephanie’s office immensely excited at the road that we had mapped out together. I had a great plan from which to launch into my future!
What did you take away from that time overall?
The coaching session I had with Stephanie impacted my life and career like no other single conversation has done. After listening to me talk about my history, dreams, and plans, she suggested two routes that I had not really considered because of personal insecurities. We faced those fears and explored the details that these previously unspoken options might hold. Because of Stephanie’s belief in me, along with our thorough strategy planning, I happily ended up following the path of my true desires, the options that Stephanie voiced. It has been over one year since our session; I look back at that session as pivotal to my career change.
Would you recommend working with Stephanie and, if so, why?
I highly recommend to anyone an intensive coaching session with Stephanie. If you are facing a career change, a loss of motivation, or just a desire to explore personal or professional options, Stephanie is a fabulous partner in the process. She will help you think through possibilities and realities, and then motivate and equip you to make your plans a reality.

Speaking from your experience, what is an intensive coaching session?
For me, an intensive coaching session is a focused assessment that exposes strengths and weaknesses and provides a plan for action. I had several interviews scheduled and knew I needed help anticipating questions and formulating answers in a rigorous and competitive interview environment.
What kinds of things did you talk about with Stephanie?
During a one-on-one session, Stephanie and I outlined our goals of the meeting, then proceeded with mock interview scenarios followed by a breakdown of my answers. This included a very thorough list including body language, presentation, thoughtfulness in regard to potential interview questions as well as the many pitfalls to avoid, which are often hard to see without an objective observer. Stephanie was kind, but realistic and didn’t let me off the hook if I tried to get away with cliché or untrue answers.
What results came from your coaching session?
After two hours I not only felt more confident about my answers, but also gained confidence in my ability to answer unforeseen questions during the actual interview process.
The three interviews yielded three job offers, affording me a strong negotiating point when it came time to discuss salary with my hospital of choice.
I have continued to use the skills Stephanie and I worked out in our session together. Rather than just giving information, Stephanie took an accurate assessment of my existing abilities and made them better. She found my weaker points and turned them into positive statements without diminishing their humanity. A point employers seemed to find refreshing.
Would you recommend working with Stephanie and, if so, why?
I would highly recommend engaging Stephanie as a coach and have been in touch with her frequently since our appointment. Her insight appears to not only come from book knowledge, but a genuine interest in the people she serves, and her desire to make them stronger individuals. Her opinion is one I respect highly.
Weekly Coaching – Anna leads with confidence!
Helping Professional, Management, 35
Speaking from your experience, what is strategy coaching?
Strategy coaching means that the time spent is focused on clarifying the issues and addressing resolution. Stephanie allowed me to lead on the topic, while she guided me through the issues toward what I needed to accomplish. Masterful!
What kinds of things did you talk about?
Topics we covered were primarily professional – how to improve my supervising and leadership skills, how to have difficult conversations, how to feel empowered – but I also felt free to discuss personal issues when they arose. I appreciated the flexibility and sense of safety in that freedom.
Would you recommend working with Stephanie and, if so, why?
I would absolutely recommend Stephanie for coaching. She is warm, engaged, genuinely interested, and has a wealth of knowledge and experience that undergird her professionalism, making her approachable from someone at any career level.
What results came from your coaching session?
The greatest result I found from my coaching sessions with Stephanie was a paradigm shift – from anxiousness and cloudy thinking to clarity and confidence. I am able to move more quickly from challenge to action, and from processing my thoughts to articulating them with power and grace.
Anything else you want to add?
The last thing I would add is how much I appreciate and enjoy Stephanie’s sense of humor and joy for life. As a professional coach, she meets me where I am as a human being – not just in what I do or what I want, but who I am and what makes me “me.”
